Wife of Gustav Adolph Heyer. Born in Passow, Kreis Uckermark, Brandenburg, Germany. Came to the USA as a small girl with her parents, Martin and Maria Zieman, and three siblings in 1862. She told her grandchildren that when she and her husband opened their shoestore in Franklin, Sheboygan County, in 1871 they would still have itinerant Indians wander through the area. Married Gustav Heyer on October 29, 1870 in Sheboygan, Wisconsin. With her husband she had eight children two sons, Otto A. and Gustav Adolph Jr, and six daughters, Emma L, Lydia L, Emilia and Ella. Most of the daughters married graduates of Mission Haus Seminary who became ministers in the German Reformed Church of America. One of her daughters, Emelia, became the wife of Reverend Friedrich W. Beisser, a graduate of Mission Haus Seminary, just down the road from the Heyer's shoestore.
