George Olaf Theophilus Astenius

Son of Anthony Oliver Theophilus Astenius &
Rena Belle Gaugler

George was a carpenter, building contractor.
His father and Swedish grandfather were distinguished musicians and composers in organ and piano at Chicago, Illinois.

Marriage
To Margaret Cox
On 21 Dec 1928 at Riverside, California

WIFE
Margaret "Peggy" Cox was born at Omaha, Nebraska on 27 Sep 1899, the daughter of Edwin Daniel Cox & Selma Christina Nelson. Peggy said that her legal birthdate (31 Aug) is incorrect. After a 1925 riot in Omaha burned court records, her mother applied for new official birth records to be created for her children (needed records in dealing with obtaining govt insurance from sons Harley, Vogle, & William's Army WWI deaths). Somehow the wrong date was recorded for Peggy's birth, and it stuck legally.
