Malcolm Johnston was a corporal in the Korean Conflict. He received the purple heart as a result of being wounded and the bronze star for bravery in conflict. He was a POW on 3 different occasions during the conflict and managed to escape 3 times. When he was caught after the 3rd escape, his leg muscles were cut by his captors so that he could not run again.

Malcolm was one of many unsung heroes in the Korean War.

After returning from Korea, Mack worked in various positions in the oil fields around Liberty Texas.

He was an inspiration to all who knew him.
