away on Thursday, May 5,
2005 at Bluefield Regional
Medical Center in Bluefield.
Mrs. Blevins was born on
Dec. 25, 1915 in Missouri, to
the late James Walter Brown
and Lillie Mae Smith Brown.
She had been a resident of
Bluefield for 50 years, was a
homemaker and was a member
of the Church of God.
In addition to her parents
she was preceded in death by
her husband, James Marshall
Blevins, six sisters and three
brothers.
Survivors include stepdaughter,
Juanita Miller of
Covel; sisters, Betty Pilbiage
of Cleveland, Ohio, Kathleen
Shrader of Princeton, Joyce
Spaulding of Bluewell, and
special niece, Phyllis Bailey
of Rock.
Funeral services will be conducted
at 2 p.m. Sunday, May
8, 2005 at the Cravens-Shires
Funeral Home in Bluewell
with the Rev. Charles
Shrewsbury officiating.
Entombment will follow in
Woodlawn Memorial Park
Mausoleum in Bluewell,
where Jimmy Wall, Wayne
Belton, Ronald Bailey, Ronald
Bailey II, Bud Bailey and
Richard Spaulding will serve
as pallbearers.
The family will receive
friends at the funeral home
from 6-8 p.m. today.
