Clinton Carlton Shade, 59, who retired from the grocery business six years ago, died suddenly yesterday afternoon at his home, 511 Maryland Avenue.
Mr. Shade, held membership in the Knights of Pythias and Jr. O.U.A.M., Piedmont, W. Va.; and the independent Order of Odd Fellows, Westernport. He belonged to Captain French Memorial Bible Class of Kingsley Methodist Church here.
Surviving are his widow, Mrs. A. Hazel (Kalbaugh) Shade; a daughter, Mrs. Pearl S. Carroll, Washington; two brothers, Rev. Clark L. Shade, Kingwood, W. Va., and Raymond
R. Shade, this city; one sister, Mrs. Rosa M. Bobo, Westernport, and a granddaughter.
The body is at the residence. Last rites will be held. Thursday at 2 p.m. in Kingsley Methodist-Church by Rev. M. A, Kesecker, pastor. Burial will be in Philos Cemetery,
Westernport.
