Clement Hoffman Stevens
Birth: Aug. 14, 1821
Death: Jul. 25, 1864

Civil War Confederate Brigadier General. In the First Battle of Bull Run on July 21, 1861, he was severely wounded while serving as aide to his brother-in-law, General Barnard E. Bee, who was killed. Badly wounded again at the September 20, 1863 Battle of Chickamauga, he was promoted to the rank of Brigadier General on January 20, 1864. He was fatally wounded during the Atlanta Campaign at the Battle of Peach Tree Creek on July 20, 1864, dying in Atlanta five days later. He is buried on the right, next to his brother-in-law, General Bee.
