Fred was a son of Alonzo and Katie Jenkins Snoots. Fred died when he fell and struck his head on the edge of his bed. He had been married twice, to a woman named Olive and then to May Whetzel. Neither marriage lasted but he and May had a daughter named Betty, who survived her father.
Fred was also survived by his mother Katie and siblings Jonas, Gertie Frye, Arthur, Lettie Wetzel, Minnie Caniford, John, Charles, Janie and Alonza. He was predeceased by his father and 2 brothers, Shirley in 1936 and Harry, who died of a heart attack a month before Fred.
