Mary Jane Brabender Irwin formerly of McKeesport Mary Jane Brabender, 85, of Irwin, formerly of McKeesport, passed away Sunday, Aug. 5, 2012, in UPMC East. She was born March 27, 1927, in McKeesport, the daughter of the late Harry and Agnes (McKay) Jackson. She was the wife of the late Rev. Herbert C. Brabender. Mary Jane was a member of Corpus Christi Parish and was retired from Bell Telephone. She was a member of the Bell Pioneers, AARP and Catholic Daughters of America, Christian Mothers and the Emerald Club. She survived by daughters, Cheryl (Bill) Walter, Diane (Jan) Tomko and Orella (Michael) Delgado; and sons, Herbert (Diane) and John D. Brabender. She is also survived by brothers, Harry (Elaine) and James Jackson; 14 grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren. Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday in the WILLIAM H. CRAIG FUNERAL HOME INC., 3000 Versailles Ave., McKeesport. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday (time to be announced) in Corpus Christi Church. Burial will follow in Jefferson Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Expressions in Harmony Foundation, 10199 Lavonne Drive, North Huntingdon, PA 15642.
