AYNOR | Thelma G. Johnson, 94, wife of the late William Goral Johnson, passed away Sunday, May 27, 2007 at Conway Manor. Mrs. Johnson was born in Galivants Ferry, South Carolina, a daughter of the late T.A. and Callie Martin Johnson. She was a charter member of the Aynor First Baptist Church and former owner of the Joyland Nursery. Mrs. Johnson was predeceased by one son, Billy Johnson; one grandson, Faron G. Johnson; and one brother, Worley Graham. Surviving Mrs. Johnson are one son, Jack D. Johnson and his friend, Jewel Bonds of Socastee; one daughter, Opal Dorsett and her husband, Tom, of Aynor; one sister, Earlease Perritt of Aynor; ten grand children; 17 great-grand children; five great-great-grandchildren; one daughter-in-law, Mary Magdeline Johnson of Aynor; and a former daughter-in-law, Ernestine G. Johnson of Surfside. Funeral services will be held 2 p.m. Tuesday, May 29, 2007 at the Aynor First Baptist Church with the Rev. Gordan Graham and Glenn Johnson officiating.
