Singer. Best remembered for singing with the Tommy Dorsey Orchestra. Her big break came in the summer of 1935 when she was asked by bandleader Frank Dailey to fill in for his lead vocalist during an engagement at the Asbury Park Casino. Tommy Dorsey's agent heard her singing and offered her a job to sing with Doresy's orchestra. In a carreer that spanned from 1935 to 1939, she made a total of 121 studio recordings (120 of which were issued on 87 discs) singing with Tommy Dorsey's Orchestra, the Clambake Seven and the California Ramblers. She also was a regular guest on the Jack Pearl radio show "Raleigh-Kool." She appeared in the episode "The Frightened Star" in the Ellery Queen radio series and directed amateur theatricals at the Chadwick Beach Club in the early 1960s until her death.
