Nancy Catherine "Nannie" Owens married 1st to William Thomas Hunt 30 Jul 1868 one child Susan Hunt (died young) Nancy & William divorced. She is found on the 1880 census living with Owens relatives.
She married 2nd to Samuel P. Davis 19 Oct 1882, 2 children William Daniel Davis & Annie Rachel Davis.

She was Nancy Catherine Owens born 1852 to Demarcus Owens, (killed during the war between the states serving in the Confederate States Army) and Rachel "Molly" (Miller) Owens. Widow Rachel Owens married Shadrach Meshach Carpenter. Rachel & Meshack had one daughter together Mary Isabelle "Molly" Carpenter who married George Monroe Moon.

Nancy Catherine Owens married 1st to William Thomas Hunt 30 Jul 1868 at the age of 16. By 1870 she is living with her step-father Meshach & Rachel with her 2 1/2 yr old daughter Susan Hunt born 1867.
Her mother Rachel died during birth with twins & Susan & Nancy Catherine divorced was living with Martha Owens family on the 1880 census. William Thomas Hunt remarried to Margaret Emma Elliott & Nancy Catherine Hunt married 2nd to Samuel P. Davis 19 OCT 1882. children William D. Davis 45 farmer & daughter Annie R. Davis age 13 on 1900 census reports. Somewhere in that time frame her nickname became Nannie.
