DANVILLE - Jo Hazel Shelton Maddox, 84, of Coley-Williams Rd. passed away Sunday August 19, 2012 in Huntsville, AL.

Services will be held Thursday August 23, 2012 at 11:00AM, in the Allentown United Methodist Church. Burial will be in the Allentown City Cemetery. Rev. Billy Wicker will officiate.

Mrs. Maddox was born in Cochran, GA the daughter of the late Joseph Winfield and Willie Mae Pannell Shelton. She was the widow of the late William H. Maddox, Jr. and was preceded in death by her Son, Luke Shelton Maddox. Mrs. Maddox was a former Rural Mail Carrier with the U.S. Postal Service and was a Homemaker. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution and a member of the Allentown United Methodist Church.

Survivors include her Son, William J. Maddox. Sister Grace Benge and Sister-in-Law Julia Jarrell.

The family will receive friends from 10 till 11 Thursday morning before the service.
