Preston Wayne McMunn, 32, of Dixon, died Sunday, August 19, 2012, at his home. He owned and operated Fast and Fair Computer Repair in Dixon.
Preston was born September 5, 1979, in Savanna, IL, the son of Ken and Lorraine (Helle) McMunn. He attended Dixon High School and Sauk Valley Community College, Dixon. He later received his degree as an Administrator Technician.
He was formerly married to Sabrina Davis and later to Stephanie Funderberg.
Survivors include one daughter, Brooklynn Shannon Alyssa McMunn; one son, Logan Christopher; his father and step-mother, Kenneth and Kathy McMunn; two sisters, Celeste (Fred Parlin) Lightner-Greenwalt and Amber McMunn; one brother, Marcus McMunn; half-sister, Jodie Keys; very special nephew and nieces, Zachary Kirk Lightner, Michaela Lorraie Greenwalt, MaKenzie Lorraie Gibson and Kiana Faith Gibson; great-nieces, Mya Esperanza and Hailey Lorraine Lightner; grandparents, Matthew and Flora McMunn and Helen Miller; aunts and uncles, Princess (Stanley) Green, Margaret (David) Terry, Roger McMunn, Bonnie (Kendal) Ledlow, Shane Price, Louise (Konrad) Radke, Harley (Lorraine) Helle and to many cousins to mention.
Preston was preceded in death by his son, Tanner Vincent Aiden McMunn; his mother, Lorraine McMunn; grandparents, Sheldon and Hazel Helle; Della Price and Leo Miller and two uncles, Michael McMunn and Lyle Helle.
Visitation will be from 2 – 4:00 and 6 – 8:00 p.m., Friday, August 24, 2012, at Preston-Schilling Funeral Home, Dixon. Funeral services will be 11:00 a.m., Saturday, at the funeral home with Bishop William Stocks, from The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, officiating. Burial will be at Oakwood Cemetery, Dixon.
A memorial has been established to help with his daughter’s education.
