Charles Josef Ringling, 75, of Cleo, TX, died on July 15, 2012. Funeral arrangements by: Kimble Funeral Home, Junction, Texas.
Charles Josef Ringling, 75, of Cleo, TX, passed from this life at Shannon Medical Center on Sunday, July 15, 2012. The world was graced with his presence, on February 24, 1937 to parents Robert and Virginia Ringling after several attempts to have another child after his brother Jimmy was born.
Charles was the grandson of Charles and Edith Ringling, Charles being one of the original seven brothers that founded the Ringling Brothers Circus. Born into a world of wealth and privilege, you would have never known that by the way he lived his life. He gave his time and love to all that needed it, never expecting anything in return.
He is preceded in death by his parents Robert and Virginia Ringling and son; Parke Goodwin.
Those that loved him, that he leaves behind to honor and cherish his memory are his wife, Sara Ringling; sons; David Goodwin, David's daughter Keisha and husband Jamey and their daughter's Britney and Addison and the soon to show up addition of Jase, David's sons; Shawn and Blake, Kirk Ringling, Charles Ringling, II. and wife Kelly, their children Kevin and Conner; daughters, Marie Armes and husband Clay and their children David "Bear" Terrell and his son Chance and Keeley Armes, Debbie Hall and her daughters Rachel and Mikkie.
Charles attended Purdue and the University of Florida before getting his degree at the University of Miami. Charles loved to race cars and did so at Daytona and in Cuba where he raced Porsche's. He made his home in Sarasota, Fl., Bangs, TX and then finally settling in Junction, TX where he blessed so many with his knowledge of photography. He traveled to Mexico, South America, Russia and Israel, where he shared his faith to all that he came into contact with. "The world lost a great and kind man today" and in the words of his Granddaughter Keeley, who wishes him to be remembered this way; "My Pepa was a man with a vibrant spirit, a strong faith, and a heart full of love that he never withheld from anyone, and I hope that everyone remembers him that way."
There was a Private Burial at the Ringling Home in Cleo, TX. A Memorial Service was held at the First Baptist Church of Junction on July 18, 2012.
The family directs that Memorials be made to Junction's Ministerial Alliance or the Kimble County Meals on Wheels, in lieu of flowers.
