During the working years of her life, she was an administrative assistant to several major companies and schools in Oklahoma City. In 1979, during "National Secretaries Week," she was honored to be selected as "Secretary of the Year" by Manpower Inc. in Oklahoma City due to her proficiency, work excellence and overall outstanding performance.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Clifford Powers and Marie Stangle Powers; brother, Jim Powers, and previous husband, Joe Snyder. She is survived by her son, Andy Snyder and wife Linda; daughter, Gretchen Priba and husband Paul; brother, Howard Powers; grandchildren, Christopher, Jeffrey and Stephen Snyder, Kevin Priba, and Annette Cooper; and great-granddaughter, Abigail Cooper.
Viewing will be Monday, 9am-9pm, with the family present from 6-7:30pm at Mercer-Adams. Service will be Tuesday, August 28, 1:30pm at Church of the Servant, Chapel of the Cross, 14343 N. MacArthur with entombment in Rose Hill Mausoleum.
