Mrs. May was a member of Immanuel Baptist Church and the Koenonia Sunday School Class.
She worked for a number of years in the State Republican Party. She served as a delegate to the National Republican Convention in Chicago in 1960. She was secretary for the State Republican Party for several years.
Others surviving are a son, James Lester May of Phoenix, AZ,; a daughter Mrs. Jo Ann Hodge of North Little Rock; Her Parents Mr. & Mrs. James D. Hancock, Sr. of North little Rock; a brother, Mr James D. Hancock Jr. of Hot Springs; Two sisters, Mrs. Thelson Seeders of Orangevale, Calif., and Mrs. Claire Magar of Little Rock, and two grand children
Funeral will be at 2 p.m. at Drummond Funeral home by Dr. W. O. Vaught Jr. Burial will be in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Pallbearers will be Alex Hopkins, John Prickett, Charles H. Adkins, Lloyd E. Wilson, Bill Henry and Casey Truby;
