Deceased was an uncle of C. S. Erwln, of Louisville. Nine or ten years ago he left his home In Hoosier Twp and moved to California. At that time he was in poor health, suffering from gun-shot wounds received as color-bearer of his regiment in the civil war.
Many friends of Philip Erwin in this county will regret to learn that he has answered the last roll call.
