BOKCHITO - Funeral services were held at the Bokchito Baptist Church at 2 p.m. today for William Franklin Jones, 72, prominent Bokchito resident who died at his home here following an extended illness.
Pallbearers were Joe Riddle, Cecil Parker, Ruby Harris, Paul Frank, Weldon Davis, and Marshall Davis.
Rev Bob Riddlehoover, pastor of the church, conducted the services. Burial was in the Bokchito cemetery with Murray Funeral Service of Durant in arrangements.
Born in Arkansas April 14, 1884, Mr. Jones has been a resident of Bryan County for 26 years. He was a member of the Baptist church.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Jones; two sons, Tip Jones of Bokchito and Elbridge Jones of Wichita Falls, Texas; five daughters, Mrs. Mavis Crain of Perryton, Texas, Mrs. Flory Jones, Mrs. Clorine Hargis and Mrs. Maudine Hickey, all of Boswell, N. Mex., and Mrs. Daisy Bell Austin of Troup, Texas; four brothers, Charlie of Drumright, John Jones of Dardanelle, Ark; Ollie Jones of Weldon, Ark; three sisters, Mrs. Minnie Davis of Derrick, Ark, Mrs. Bell Morphew of Glenwood, Ark., and Mrs. Massey Morphew of Drumright; 20 grandchildren and 8 great-grandchildren.
