The son of William and Wilhelmina Hirt Eisenbraun he was born in Poland Township, Mahoning County, Ohio. William was one of two sons; brother is Ralph Herman. He married Ruth Winona Royce and they had four children Ruth Elaine, William Alva, Mae Eleanor and Ralph Charles. Ruth preceded William in death on 18 December 1952. William remarried on February 6, 1954 to Jeanetta Pearl Shipley. His son Ralph Charles also preceded him in death - passing away in 1982.
