Thomas Chapa, age 81, passed away Sunday, September 2, 2012. He was a humble, hardworking and caring man who loved his family.
He is preceded in death by his parents Jesus and Cruz Chapa, his brother, Esteban Chapa and his sisters, Jesusa Aranda and Anita Garza.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Liceria Chapa, his children, Adolfo (Maria) Chapa, Janie (Guillermo) Suarez, Juan (Sandra) Chapa, Thomas Chapa Jr., Gloria (Reginaldo) Velasquez, Margarita (Manuel) Morin, Enrique (Rosa) Chapa and Arturo (Corina) Chapa. His brothers, Francisco Chapa and Benito Chapa, sisters, Leonor Garcia, Alicia Sanchez, Mary Cruz Corona, Eva Garcia, numerous nieces and nephews, 20 grandchildren and 34 great- grandchildren.
Visitation will be held at Corpus Christi Funeral Home Thursday, September 6, 2012 from 2:00 P.M.-9:00 P.M. with Rosary to be recited at 7:00 P.M. that same evening. A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00 A.M., Friday, September 7, 2012 at Holy Family Catholic Church. Interment will follow at Seaside Memorial Park.
