Marlin W. Mooney

Marlin W. Mooney, 81, of Dixon died Tuesday, Sept. 23, 2008, at 2:55 p.m. at Regional Medical Center in Madisonville. He was a farmer. He was also a lifelong member of Lisman Cumberland Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include his wife of 59 years, Betty Crider Mooney of Dixon; two daughters, Nancy Burnett and her husband, Clyde, and Carolyn Burnett and her husband, Jerry, all of Dixon; three grandchildren, Stephanie O'Nan and husband Michael, Gary Burnett and wife Katie and Kevin Burnett; and two great-grandchildren, Caleb and Lauren O'Nan.

Services are at 11 a.m. Friday at Townsend Funeral Home in Dixon, with the Rev. John Shoulta officiating. Burial will take place in Lisman Cemetery. Visitation is from 5 to 8 p.m. today and after 8 a.m. Friday at the funeral home. Contributions can be made to Lisman Cemetery Fund, c/o Lisman Cumberland Presbyterian Church, Kentucky 270 West, Clay, KY 42404.
