Rosa married Henry Major Jacobs July 8, 1908 in Sioux City, IA. She died from influenza on Saturday morning, Dec. 8. A son was born to her on Sunday morning, Dec. 2, and that evening she was stricken with the disease which resulted in her death.

Funeral services for the late Mrs. Henry Jacobs, 40, who died at her home, eight miles west of the city early Saturday, were held yesterday. A short prayer service was held at the family home at 11:30 am, the cortege leaving immediately afterward for Bellwood, where services were held at the Methodist church. Rev. W.C. Brayman, pastor, officiated.

Interment was made in the Bellwood cemetery, Charles Wills, Roy Nauenberg, Byron Weber, Al Klug, Fred Boesiger, and Charles Kuta, acting as pallbearers.

Among the relatives attending the last rites were H.C. Jacobs, Mr. and Mrs. Ed Engel, Mrs. Clint (Julia Arena) Doan, Harvey Jacobs, Mr. and Mrs. Fritz Gensichen, all of Ponca; Harley Jacobs of Martinsburg; Mrs. Roy Brink, Neligh; Mr. and Mrs. George Jacobs, daughter Orvilla, and Mrs. and Mr. Leo Jacobs of Yankton, S.D.; Mr. and Mrs. George Hopkins, daughter Eileen and son Ben, of Bellwood, and Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Martin of David City.
