HOBSON
Mr. Ralph Clingman Hobson, 76, of 844 Kenwick Drive, died unexpectedly at his home, at 8 a.m. Wednesday. He was born in Yadkin County, Dec. 9, 1906 to W. G. and Ada Hoots Hobson. Mr. Hobson spent most of his life in Winston-Salem, and was a graduate of R. J. Reynolds High School. He was with the Norfolk and Western Railway for 42 years, retiring as Yardmaster. He was a member of the Retired Railway Worker's Association. He was a member of Ardmore United Methodist Church, the Methodist Men's club and a member and greeter of the Christian Fellowship Class. He was a member of the Ardmore Community Club. Mr. Hobson was a mamber of the Winston Masonic Lodge # 167 AF and AM. He was twice married. His first marriage was to Treava Pearce, she died in 1975. In 1975 he married Kate Speas Lee, who survives of the home. Two daughters, Mrs. Julia Jones, Waynesboro, Mrs. Margaret Martin, Atlanta, Ga., Five grandchildren, one sister Mrs. Mary Chandler, Clemmons.
