Mrs. T. A. Cummins
Rose - Mrs. Orpha D. Cummins, 81, died at 4:45 this morning at the home of her daughter, Mrs. Edna Robbins, rural Rose. She had been in failing health for the past year and seriously ill the last six weeks.
She was born June 16, 1871, to Townsend R. and Delletta Moor Berger. Neosho county pioneers. She was married to J. E. Cline, in January 1892, and he died in October, 1924. She later married to T. A. Cummins of Coffeyville, and lived there a number of years. Mr. Cummins died in February 1945. She was a member of the Christian Church.
Survivors are two daughters, Mrs. Eva Evans, Chanute, and Mrs. Robbins, of Rose; a son, W. T. Cline, Chanute; a sister, Mrs. S. B. Rhines, Perry, Okla.; three brothers, Wilson Berger, Hoquiam, Wash., G. E. Berger, New Albany, and T. E. Berger, Neodesha; three grandchildren, Jimmie Evans, Chanute, Mrs. Thelma Stoll, Yates.
The funeral service will be at 2 p.m. Saturday at Wilson-Johnson Chapel, Chanute, and burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, at Shaw.
