Born on March 21, 1911, in Burlington, Iowa, she was the daughter of Edward F. and Elizabeth Viola Wilson Kunz. She married John H. Jenkins in Burlington, Iowa. He died on November 26, 1974.
Elizabeth attended Burlington Beauty Academy after graduating from Burlington High School. She was the owner/operator of "Add A Curl Beauty Nook" for more than 20 years. She was a member of the Soroptimist Club which is connected with beauty salon ownership. She was also a member of AARP, active participant in Zion's Daughters Women's Group and volunteer at the Apple Tree Museum in Perkins Park for many years. She enjoyed reading, listening to light classical music, volunteering and traveling. She had traveled to a number of states and countries including: Hawaii, Germany, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands, Jordan, the Holy Lands and Egypt. She was a lifelong member of Community of Christ where she taught church school for a number of years.
She is survived by one son, Roy Allen "Jerry" (Carlene) Davis of Moorpark, California; one step-son, Don J. (Marti) Jenkins of Texas; step-grandchildren; nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, two sisters, Lois Philips of Missouri and Ethel Thomas of Oregon and two half-brothers.
