Mr. Amos Brooks Nunn, son of the late Mr. George Hugh Hunn and Mrs. Surilda Curry Nunn, was born September 14, 1895 in Green County and departed this life at 6:45 p.m. Sunday, December 5, 1971 at the Elizabethtown Hospital. He was 76 years, two months and 21 days of age. He had made a profession of faith in Christ and was a member of the Greasy Creek Baptist Church at the time of his death. He united in marriage to Miss Ruth Lile October 1, 1918, who survives. To this union were born four daughters and eight sons. Surviving are: Loyd Nunn, Radcliffe; Elwood Nunn, Mason City, Ill; Linzie Nunn and Loren Nunn, both of Greensburg; Mrs. Bernadine Bagby, Greensburg; Bobby Nunn, Cedar Lake, Indiana; Doyle Nunn and Donald Nunn, both of Chicago and Mrs. Betty Donan, Summersville, L. C. Nunn, Mrs. Doris Ramsey and Judith Gail Nunn preceded their father in death. Mr. Nunn is also survived by his step-mother: Mrs. Cora L. Nunn, Greensburg; four sisters: Mrs. Blanche Houk and Mrs. Verda Edwards, both of Greensburg; Mrs. Dulcie Finn, Springfield, Illinois; Mrs. Gertrude Gaddie, Kansas City, Missouri; one brother: Randolph Nunn, Mell; three half-brothers: Fred Nunn, Edmonton; William Lee Nunn, Louisville and Odean Nunn, Richmond, Ind.; five half-sisters: Mrs. Lucille Murrell, Mrs. Genevieve Adkins and Mrs. Era VanArsdale all of Greensburg; Mrs. Lanola Koebel and Mrs. Elizabeth Dunman, both of Louisville; 32 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren and host of other relatives and friends. The remains were at the Cowherd and Parrott Funeral Home until time of funeral services at 2 p.m. (CST) Tuesday, December 7, 1971 at the Greasy Creek Baptist Church with burial in the Greasy Creek Cemetery. Revs. Eutre Hammett and Thurman Eaton officiated. Pallbearers were Tommy Brandon, Donald Keltner, Larry Brown, Jimmy Dale Bagby, Mike, Vernon Lee, Bruce and Freddie Nunn.
