Francis LaFave, 41, Dies Early Monday After Long Illness
Francis J. LaFave, 41, of 87 McLaughlln ave., died at 1:30 a. m. Monday at Sunmount VA Hospital where he had been a patient since March 10. The funeral services were held at 9 a. m. Wednesday at St. Alphonusus Church. Interment was In St. Alphonsus Cemetery here. I He was born in Tupper Lake Sept. 9. 1921. the son of Basil and Clementine Scanlon LaFave, and attended the local schools. During World War II he saw action with the Medical Corps In the European Theatre Military funeral honors were accorded toy the Tupper Lake Veterans' Honor Guard. During the past eight years he had been late in the employ of Whitney Industries, at Whitney Park Surviving are his wife, the former Yvonne Charette of this village, whom he married March 4, 1946; four daughters, Sidonna, Valeru, Clair and Amy LaFave; four sons, Stephon, Wayne, Patrick and Todd: his mother, Mrs. Clementine LaFave, and three sisters. Mrs. Raymond (Lavina) Ashllne, Mrs Edward (Theresa) Bombard and Mrs. Ernest (Lorraine) Boyer, all of Tupper Lake; and four brothers, Harley and Raymond LaFave, Tupper Lake; Gideon LaFave, Buffalo, and Oliver LaFave, Harrisville.
