Age 78, passed away Wednesday, September 19, 2012. Mr. Nickels was born May 17, 1934 in Lansing, the son of Harry and Cora Nickels. A lifelong resident of Lansing, Harold worked as a machinist at Wohlert Corporation until retiring. He was a veteran of the US Army serving during the Korean War, and an avid outdoorsman. Harold was proceeded in death by his wife Kathryn. He is survived by his children, Arthur Randall (Glenda Lumeryer), Teresa (Robert) Quiroz, Julie (Mark) Yonan, and Lee (Julie) Nickels; 12 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren. A graveside service will be held Wednesday, September 26, 2012, 1:00 pm, at Deepdale Memorial Park Cemetery in Lansing, with Pastor Steve Ezop officiating. Military Honors will be presented by VFW Post 701. Arrangements are by Palmer, Bush & Jensen Family Funeral Home, Holt-Delhi Chapel.
