Ruth Alice Luna, 100, of Gans died Friday, Sept. 21, 2012, in Gans. She was the daughter of Monroe Fout and Caroline Tinsley Fout. She was a homemaker, Protestant and the widow of Nick Luna. She enjoyed cooking, quilting, gardening and raising livestock. Funeral will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at Mallory-Martin Funeral Home Chapel in Sallisaw with burial at Gans Cemetery in Gans under the direction of Agent Funeral Home of Sallisaw. She is survived by a daughter, Lorene Downing of Sedalia, Mo.; a son, John Luna of Sallisaw; five grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband; parents; sisters, Zora Fout, Lizzie Cox, Martha Tinney and Lola Tinney, and brothers, George, Matt, Dan and Bill Fout. Pallbearers will be Robert Ramey, Joe Nemecek, Junior Henry, Dean and Clifford Armstrong, Raymond Tinney and Tommy Knight.
