Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Thursday at The Bennett and Houser Funeral Home, Clearfield, for Mary Louise Donner, 72, of Clearfield and formerly of Bigler who died Monday, March 5, 2001, at Clearfield Hospital.
The Rev. Michael G. Trimmer will officiate. Interment will be at Bigler Cemetery. Friends will be received from 3-5 and 7-9 p.m. today and from 12:30 p.m. until the hour of services Thursday at the funeral home.
The family suggests memorial contributions be made to Clearfield Hospital Home Health Services, in care of Clearfield Foundation for Health, P.O. Box 992, Clearfield, Pa. 16830; or to Trinity United Methodist Church, 121 S. Second St., Clearfield.
Born June 11, 1928, in Clearfield, she was a daughter of Kenneth R. and Thelma E. (Stiles) Shimmel.
She was a 1946 graduate of Clearfield High School. Mrs. Donner was a homemaker and formerly she was employed by several area businesses including G.C. Murphy Co. and Commercial Printing Co., both of Clearfield.
Mrs. Donner was a member of the Trinity United Methodist Church, Clearfield, and she had been active in the United Methodist Women and was a member of the Friendship Sunday School Class.
On Sept. 24, 1947, she wed R. William Donner, who survives.
Also surviving are three daughters, Sue Edwards and her husband, Thomas, of Clearfield, Linda Eisenhauer of Kylertown, and Betty Kenny and her husband, Dennis, of Walker Valley, N.Y.; nine grandchildren, Melissa Cutshall, Rebeca McTavish, Michael Edwards, Timothy Eisenhauer, Amy Eisenhauer, Sara Eisenhauer, Andrew Squires, Beth Ann Squires and Claire Kenny; three great-grandchildren; a brother, Samuel Kenneth Shimmel of Osceola Mills; a cousin who was raised as a brother, Donald Zimmerman of Warwick, R.I.; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Her parents preceded her in death.
