Honea Path – Katherine Evelyn Stallcup, 84, passed away on September 19, 2012 at NHC of Anderson.
She was born October 27, 1927 in East La Porte, North Carolina to the late Seth Thomas and Pearl Moore Stallcup and lived in Honea Path from age 4 until 2010. Kat was a member of Chiquola United Methodist Church where she served in many areas. Her longest tenure was as treasurer of the UMW.
Kat is survived by one sister; Dorothy Herndon of Anderson, S.C. and many nieces and nephews. She was pre-deceased by a brother; Virgil Stallcup, and three sisters; Thelma Stackhouse, Betty Thompson and Ruth Cox.
Funeral services will be 1 P.M. Friday at Pruitt Funeral Home with Rev. Terry Mitchell officiating. Burial will follow in Eastview Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6-8 P.M. Thursday at Pruitt Funeral Home. Flowers are optional, Memorials may be made to Chiquola United Methodist Church, 12 Lusk St. Honea Path, SC 29654.
