Died – At the home of his mother, in the town of Brothertown, on Saturday, June 6th, William Higgins, aged 27 years, 10 months and 5 days. The deceased was a son of Catherine Higgins and was born in Stoney Brook, July 31, 1863, where he has resided ever since. About four years ago he was taken ill with typhoid fever and shortly afterwards caught a cold which terminated in consumption. During his long illness he bore his suffering with calm resignation, never complaining and always trying to make it as pleasant as possible for those around him. He was highly respected in the community and his death will be regretted. The funeral took place on Monday, the remains being taken to the St. Augustine cemetery in this city for interment. The relatives have sympathy of their many friends in this their hour of mourning.
