"EAST SPRINGFIELD - Our community was saddened to hear that George Steele of Watertown was a victim of pneumonia. The remains were brought here and the funeral held from the home of his father, Lorenzo Steele, on Saturday, Octobr 19th. The Rev. William Marshall officiated. Deceased is survived by his wife, his parents, one brother, Louis, of this place, and four sisters, Mrs. Albert Moyer of Fort Plain, Mrs. Flora Bridger of Bowerstown and Mrs. Edgar Brown and Mrs. Cora Bridger of East Springfield. Burial was in Springfield Centre cemetery. The deceased was born in this town and lived the greater part of his life here where he was a popular young man.
