Mabel Humphreys --- Mabel E. Humphreys died April 2, 1980 at the Hutchinson Hospital at the age of 74. She was born Mabell E. McMurphy June 16, 1905, at Sylvia and married Willard Humphreys Oct. 8, 1925, at Hutchinson. He died April 29, 1974. --- A resident of the Sterling community most of her life, Mrs. Humphreys was a member of the United Methodist Church and Sorosis and PC clubs. --- Survivors include a son, James, Tulsa, Oklahoma; daughter, Mrs. Betty Graebner, Littleton, Colorado; brothers, Roy, Glenn, Marvin and Nevin McMurphy, Sterling; sister, Mrs. Hazel Tyler, Bethany, Oklahoma; four grandchildren and four great-grandchildren. --- Services were held Friday, April 4, at the United Methodist Church with the Rev.
