Ethel Mae Blake born March 2, 1926, died September 5, 2012, was a lifelong resident of Klamath. She worked and became owner-operator of Blake's Terwer Valley Grocery store in the Klamath Glen. She especially enjoyed being generous to the younger children who visited the store. Ethel thoroughly enjoyed the yearly Klamath tourist season. Her hobbies included being a member of the pinochle club and meeting friends at Crivelli's. Ethel felt fortunate to see many generations of Klamath families grow up. She is survived by her brother and sister, Richard Carl Blake, Crescent City, and Jeanette Blake Nesbitt, Montague; nieces and nephew, Cynthia Blake Williamson, Redding; Dorothea Nesbitt, Elk Grove; Richard Blake, Hoopa; Terri Blake River, Kelseyville; Lori Nesbitt, Klamath; Dorothy Blake Fry, Yuba City; Patricia Nesbitt Youngdale, Clayton; and numerous grandnieces and nephews. Ethel was preceded in death by her parents, Catherine and Warren Blake Sr., brothers Earl, Warren Jr., and Roy Blake, as well as nephew, Warren "Mokie" Blake.
