Elizabeth Williams died Sunday August 5, 1899 at her home near Bengal. She was the wife of the Honorable D. M. Williams, deceased.
The deceased was a devoted Christian of the Baptist faith, a good neighbor, a friend to the poor and a faithful Bible reader. Mrs. Williams leaves two daughters, two sons, eight grand-children and a host of friends to mourn their loss. Her husband, four sons and three daughters preceded her to her grave. The bereaved family has the sympathy of the entire community. We trust that their loss will be eternal gain.—8/5/1899

(Elizabeth C. Williams was born April 2, 1824 and died August 5, 1899. Her husband, Daniel M. Williams Sr. was born January 15, 1820 and died October 28, 1895. Some of there children were: William A. Williams was born and died Feb 12, 1854. Mary L. J. Williams was born on Feb 18, 1842 and died March 26, 1856. Susan C. William was born January 29, 1847 and died March 28, 1856. Bettie Williams was born October 3, 1858 and died December 18, 1860. All are buried in the Williams Cemetery located north of Summersville off Highway 323 on the farm of Redman Turner.)
