Donald B. McPhail, 56, of Stanhope, passed away Thursday, May 21, 2009, at Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, following a short illness. Mr. McPhail was born in Newark. He was a resident of Stanhope since 1990, formerly of Hopatcong, and was raised in East Orange. He was a tractor trailer mechanic at Carbon Express, Jefferson Township, from 2004 - 2008. Prior to 2004, he had worked for Superior Carriers in Kenvil and for N.J. Transit for over 25 years.
Survived by his wife, Cheryl (Cleffi) McPhail; four daughters, Kristina Tredway of Byram, Jennifer Cooper and husband Steve of Hackettstown, Donna McPhail of Allamuchy Township and Kathleen McPhail of Hopatcong. Also survived by his brother, Richard of Hope; four grandchildren, Alison, Madison, Ryan, and Owen; and four nephews and five nieces.
Funeral Services will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph, at 11 a.m. on Thursday, May 28, 2009. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover.
