MANSFIELD-Edith E. Kraus, 62, of 31 Wolfe Ave., Mansfield died Tuesday night in Crestwood Care Center after an extended illness.

Born Apr. 21, 1921 in Shelby. She was the daughter of Joseph and Rose Riedy Sheridan. Mrs. Kraus lived in the area all of her life.

She was a member of Most Pure Heart of Mary Catholic Church in Shelby and the American Legion McVey Post No. 16 Auxilliary.

Surviving are a son, Gordon L. Kraus, of Clarksville, Tenn.; seven sisters; Mrs. James (Helen) Thompson, Mrs. Roger (Catherine) Adam, Mrs. Thomas (Berdie) Lambert, and Mrs. Rebel (Lucy) Cornett, all of Shelby; Mrs. Martha White of Mansfield, Mrs. James (Dolores) Pyles of Ashland and Mrs. Barbara Gillingham of Bellville, Michigan; and three brothers, Robert Sheridan of Shelby, Charles Sheridan of Chicago, Ill, and Don Sheridan of Long Beach, Calif.

She was preceded in death by her husband, George L. Kraus.

The funeral is at 1 p.m. Saturday at the Diamond Street Home of Wappner Funeral Directors, the Rev. James Steinle, her pastor, officiating.

Burial will follow in Mansfield Cemetery.
