He was born on April 6, 1922 in Alliance, and lived in Alliance all of his life.
A veteran of World War II, Mr. Falcone served our country in the U. S. Army and received the Purple Heart.
He was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church and a member of Dante Alighieri Club.
Marcus retired in 1965 from the American Steel Foundries, where he was employed as a welder for over 20 years.
In his past-time, he enjoyed wood working, fishing, playing cards, listening to music and family gatherings; most recently, his 90th birthday party.
He is survived by two sisters, Angeline Sorge of Temple,Texas and Victoria Seacrist of Alliance; a brother, Joseph Falcone of North Canton; and many nieces and nephews.
Preceding him in death was his wife, Margaret (Damiani) Falcone on April 5, 2001, whom he married on November 30, 1942; his parents, Vincenzo and Rosena (Muccitelli) Falcone; and four brothers, Thomas, John, Sylvester "Silver", Mario, and an infant brother, Sylvester.
The family will receive friends at Sharer-Stirling-Skivolocke Funeral Home on Sunday, October 7, 2012 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered at St. Joseph Catholic Church on Monday, October 8, 2012, at 10:00 a.m. with the Rev. Fr. Matthew Mankowski, as celebrant.
Interment, with military honors provided by the Alliance American Legion Post 166 and Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 1036, will follow at St. Joseph Catholic Cemetery.
