She was born at St. James, the daughter of the late Jacob and Alice Hill Friend and was a member of St. Marks Episcopal Church, Lappans.
Besides her husband she is survived by two daughters, Mrs. Sarah E. Conner, White Plains, N.Y., and Miss Rose Mary Burtner, at home; son, Walden H., Elm Hill Farm. Three grandchildren survive along with brothers, Henry B., St. James and Thomas J., Milwaukee, Wis.
Funeral Tuesday morning at 10 o'clock with services at St. Mark's Episcopal Church with Rev. Walter B. McKinley officiating. Interment in Boonsboro Cemetery.
Friends will be met at the Bast Funeral Home this evening from 7 until 9 o'clock. Please omit flowers.
