This item was found in the Odessan Newspaper, May 24, 2012 edition, Always Remember section. Samuel enlisted in the Army on 5 Jan. 1943. He was a PFC in Co. E, 39th Engr. Combat Battalion, WWII. H was killed in Italy and originally buried in the Anzio Military Cemetery but later removed and interred in this cemetery.
Samuel married Miss Mildred C. Peerson on 11 Aug 1929 in Jackson County, Missouri.
