Joseph Gintner of Cato Dead
Joseph Gintner, Cato, aged 81 years, died at the homestead Tuesday afternoon. He was born in Austria and came to Cato with his parents when a boy of sixteen. The farm is now operated by his son George, with whom the deceased made his home. He was married in 1875 to Margaret Stracker, who passed away in 1919. Five children survive. They are George and Anton of Cato, Joseph of Van Dyne, Mrs. Hugo Christel of Collins and Mrs. Louis Stauss of Canada. One brother John also survives.
Mr. Gintner joined the Catholic Knights of Wisconsin, at Manitowoc and when Clarks Mills Branch No. 146 was formed he became a member of the St. Mary's Holy Name Society of Clarks Mills Catholic church.
Burial will take place Friday morning at 9:30 from St. Mary's Catholic church at Clarks Mills with burial in the Clarks Mills cemetery.
