Frank Wallander, 82, who formerly resided at 715 South 24th street, died last night at the home of his daughter, Mrs. Alvin Hickmann of Osman.
Funeral services will be held at 8:30 a.m. Thursday at the Pfeffer funeral home and at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's Catholic church in Clarks Mills, the Rev. Michael Fetko officiating. Burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mr. Wallander was born in Cato in 1865 and married Eva Stracker in 1892. They lived on a farm near Reedsville and moved to Manitowoc 15 years ago. They observed their golden wedding anniversary here in 1942. Mrs. Wallander died two years ago.
Survivors are three daughters, Mrs. Louis Gintner of Reedsville, Mrs. Alvin Hickmann of Osman, and Mrs. William Hickmann of Cedarburg; five sons, Joseph of Manitowoc, William, Edward and Alvin of Reedsville, and John of Sheboygan; brother George of Manitowoc; 59 grandchildren, and 12 great-grandchildren.
The body may be viewed funeral home from noon Wednesday until the time of services. The rosary will be recited at the funeral home at 7 p.m. Wednesday.
