Clarks Mills Resident To Be Buried on Friday
Mrs. Albert Gnadt, 67, a lifelong resident of Manitowoc county, died at 7:45 p.m. Tuesday at her home at Clarks Mills after an illness of four months. Death was due to complications.
The body was removed to the residence this afternoon from the Pfeffer funeral home. Funeral services will be held Friday at 9 a.m. from the residence and at 9:30 at St. Mary's church, Clarks Mills. The Rev. Francis Kheil will officiate and burial will be in the church cemetery.
Mrs. Gnadt, whose maiden name was Mary Hartlaub,was born Aug. 22, 1866, in the Town of Newton at Hartlaub's lake. She was married in Manitowoc May 31, 1893. For six years after their marriage, Mr. and Mrs. Gnadt resided in this city. Then they moved to a farm in the Town of Newton. Later Mr. Gnadt purchased the farm at Clarks Mills in the Town of Cato where they have resided for the last 27 years.
Besides the widower, survivors are four children, John of St. Nazianz, Albert of Milwaukee, Hilda at home and Mrs. Rudolph Guante of Cato, two brothers and one sister, Peter Hartlaub of Whitelaw, Alex of Newton and Mrs. Math Niedirprum of St. Nazianz and by 14 grandchildren.
