Mrs. Foster was a devoted member of the First Presbyterian Church of Hope. In her earlier years, she taught Sunday School and sang in the choir. She was also a member of Hope's Service League. An avid gardener, Mrs. Foster was renown for her beautiful flowers and horticultural expertise and she was a winner of Garden of the Month more than once. She enjoyed giving and receiving flower roots and starts from friends and acquaintances. A lovely bi-color day lily, "Alice Mae", is named for her.
Born August 11, 1914 to parents, George W. Waddle and Inez Furqueron Waddle, Mrs. Foster is survived by daughters and son-in-laws Shelia and Beryl Anthony, Jr. of Palm City, Florida, and Sharon and Jerome Die of Little Rock. Her eight grandchildren and fifteen great-grandchildren are left with wonderful memories and stories of their "Mimi".
Visitation 1:00 to 2:00 pm, Tuesday October 16, Brazzel/Oakcrest The Funeral Home of Hope. In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts are requested to be made to the donor's favorite charity in Hope or to the First Presbyterian Church.
