Mrs. Joseph Tienor, Sr., 82, of 925 N. 16th St., Manitowoc, died Wednesday night at the Maple Crest Sanitorium at Whitelaw. The former Katherine Knier was born Dec. 1, 1885 in the town of Eaton, a daughter of the late Wencel and Margaret Heller Knier, and was married to Joseph Tienor on July 26, 1910 at St. Nazianz.
The couple farmed in the Town of Cato until 16 years ago when they moved to Manitowoc. They observed their golden wedding anniversary in 1960. Mrs. Tienor was a charter member of the Christian Mothers Society of St. Mary's Catholic Church at Clark Mills.
Survivors include her husband; two daughters, Mfrs. Victor (Marie) Koerner of Manitowoc and Mrs. Wilbert (Rose) Meyer of New Holstein; four sons, Arnold and Leonard of R. 2, Reedsville, Joseph Jr. of Manitowoc and Emil of Brillion; 33 grandchildren, and two sisters, Mrs. Louis Manlick of Arpin and Mrs. Mary Ebenhoe of Black Earth.
