Millinocket – Malcolm A. "Mac" MacKenzie, 69, passed away peacefully, surrounded by his friends and family, on Friday, October 19, 2012 at a Millinocket hospital. He was born April 18, 1943 in York, the son of Floyd and Olive (Smith) MacKenzie.
Mac sang and played in a band for several years in different areas of Maine, entertaining many people who really enjoyed hearing him sing. Mac worked for Great Northern Paper Company in the Stores Department for 33 years, retiring in 1999. He also worked for Motion Industries in Bangor and Radio Shack in Millinocket. Mac was a member of Lodge #1521, B.P.O.E. in Millinocket.

Mac is survived by his wife of 34 years, Dianne F. (Hutchinson) MacKenzie of Millinocket; three children, Cheryl Ann MacKenzie of Millinocket, Rena Oliver and her husband Lawrence of Houlton, and Cammie Forgues of Lewiston; ten grandchildren, Chris, Brooke, and Haley Oliver, Emily, Christopher, and Michael Dewitt, Brandon and Trevor Perro, and Matthew and Nicholas Seymour; two sisters, Shirley Cram and her husband Everett ("Skip"), and Lorraine Stanley and her husband Stephen, all of Medway; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to his parents, Mac was predeceased by a daughter, Susan MacKenzie.
Interment will be at the Millinocket Cemetery. (Lamson Funeral Home)
