Mr. Whitacre was service manager of the former Jones Motor Co. until 1924. He then established the Whitacre Auto Maintenanc Co., quitting the business in 1936 to join the John Deere Plow Co. as sales representative. He remained with the latter firm until 1944, when he became a building contractor. He retired 15 years ago. Surviving are his daughter Mrs. Betty Barnes; son Charles Jr., and brothers Floyd and Everett.
Services will be Thursday at 1 p.m. in the Witzler-Shank Mortuary, Perrysburg, with burial at Fort Meigs Cemetery.
