BOARDMAN – Services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at the Western Reserve Methodist Church in Canfield for Lamont A. Macaulay, 86, who passed away Tuesday morning at Hospice House.

Mr. Macaulay was born Jan. 28, 1923 in Youngstown, a son of Andrew and Pearl Hultberg Macaulay.

He was a plumber for 26 years with Commercial Shearing, retiring in 1987.

He was with the CB's in the U.S. Navy during World War II, stationed in the Philippines, China and Hawaii.

Lamont was a member of Sulgrave Lodge No. 696 F&AM, Clan McDonald, and the church, where he was the last of the charter members of the Protestant bowling league. At his church, he was treasurer of his Sunday school class, a trustee and served on the administrative board. He was involved in the Boy Scouts and was the Assistant Scout Master for many years at Pleasant Grove Presbyterian Church.

Surviving him is his wife, the former Jean Kester, whom he married Oct. 26, 1947; a son, Harry (Kathy) Macaulay of Jacksonville, Fla.; a daughter, Joy (Mark) Fearigo of Green; a sister Louise Waddell of Boardman; four grandchildren, twins Evan and Anna, Miranda and Andrew; and several nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death besides his parents, are three brothers, Paul C., Robert A. and Harold Macaulay.

Friends may call Sunday from 1 to 3 p.m. at the Davis Funeral Home and Monday from 10 to 11 a.m. at church.

The family requests that material tributes take the form of contributions to the Church Memorial Fund, Western Reserve Methodist Church, 4580 Canfield Road, Canfield, OH 44406.
