Obituary, The Oklahoman, Monday, 28 Feb 1942: --Illness Fatal to Furniture Store Owner--Anderson A Spivey, 63 years old, owner of a furniture store bearing his name, died at 6:30 pm Sunday.

Spivey, 115 NE 14th St, was formerly in partnership with W H McCoy, who in 1940 moved to Corpus Christi TX. Born in Montgomery AL, Feb 5, 1879, Spivey moved to Oklahoma in 1907 and has lived here since. He was a member of Grace Methodist Episcopal Church.

Survivors include two daughters, Mrs O'Neal Eldridge, at home; Mrs P C Wilsford of Memphis TN; three sons, Kenneth Spivey, at home; Milton F Spivey, 815 Eubanks Ave; and Jack L Spivey, with the US Coast Guard; five brothers, Major D Spivey, 737 NE 8th St; M O Spivey, 801 NW 16th St; E W Spivey, 613 NE 11th St; Don Spivey, a farmer outside the city limits; and Dr Ludd M Spivey, Lakeland FL; and three sisters, Mrs Roy Miller, 729 NE 11th St; Mrs G G Leech, 720 NE 9th St; Mrs W H McCoy, Corpus Christi TX.

Services will be arranged by Smith & Kernke.
